I just now realized a possible connection between this quote and reality. Theo got a Spongebob Squarepants lego set as a gift. The completed set is Spongebob from the front, but his back is divided up into several rooms (where Plankton can control Spongebob).
The tenuous connection, in short, is that Spongebob's square underpants are featured in the show's opening sequence, and that the lego Spongebob looks like a house from the back.
Okay, it's a big stretch.
